A friend posted this video on my personal Facebook wall, suggesting it for our blog. It's a touching story about a family losing their young son, and honouring his memory by doing good deeds.
I tend to cry quite easily at these videos, and this one was no exception. Please comment if it's inspired you to pay it forward. =)

What is your Kind World ?
LP - Kind world to all. Nice
gestures, pay it forward ideas and inspirational stores are all welcome.
In today's media we
hear the negative acts within the world. We want to spread smiles, kindness and
love. Tell us your stores and you just might inspire someone to do the
same. We are all human and we all make mistakes. We need to encourage one
another and support each other. The smallest things end up being the biggest.
Giving someone a smile may seem very minimal but it could mean the difference
for that persons day.
Think about a time
when someone has done something nice for you. Think about how that made you
feel. Where you having a bad day and it turned around as a result of the nice
gesture. Where you having a great day and it got even better as a result of the
act of kindness. We want to hear your stories. We want to know your opinion and
we want to spread the word of kindness.
Post comments on our Facebook, Twitter and
here on our Blog.
We want to keep the positive spirit moving. We have the power to change the
lives of many people with small gestures of kindness.
Keep smiling, keep laughing and
spread the love :)

A night of indulgence
In August 2011, a friend and I were headed to a concert downtown Toronto. The tickets were under $30, so we thought we'd make a whole night of it - drinks at 2 different bars and dinner at a nice restaurant. After having a couple cocktails, we head over to a place called The Hot House.
We ordered some delicious pasta and a BBQ chicken pizza, even an appetizer. Needless to say, we were full, and ate about 1/3 of our meals. Without even thinking it all the way through, we asked for the rest to get wrapped up to go, not considering we were going to a concert in about 45 minutes.
As we're leaving the restaurant, my friend realized our mistake. I offer to just toss them in the garbage, it's a shame, but we can't take them. She instantly thought - "Why don't we see if someone is hungry on the street?"Checking out Toronto a couple times, it's not hard to find someone who is down on their luck. Men, women, old, young - sometimes people just need help.
As we're walking down the street, we see young man, maybe 25, begging for change. As we approach his direction, he asked us the same question. Taking the bag with the two containers filled with food, I offer them over. "We don't have money, but we have some really delicious leftovers if you want them."
I can't even begin to describe the look that came over his face. Its comparable to a young child receiving the exact toy they asked for from Santa on Christmas morning. He profusely thanked us, but it was better just seeing how happy he was now that he enough food to have a great dinner. We went to the concert, had a great time, but knowing that the young man would have food that night made us happier.
Please tell us about any experiences you've had. Have you helped someone in need? Has someone helped you when you were in need?

Easter Generosity
On Good Friday morning, I was headed to school for an early study session. I decided to stop by Cobs bakery to pick up some treats for my group. My group and I sat down and finished up our work, only to find that we had an extra cinnamon bun left over! We proceeded to find 2 girls sitting and studying, so we gave them the fresh cinnamon bun and wished them a Happy Easter! (We hope you enjoyed your fresh baked cinnamon bun, if you’re reading this!) Remember, a random act of kindness always goes a long way. Happy Easter!
