The other day, I was at loblaws getting some groceries. I was
standing in line, when a mother and her young daughter came to stand in line
behind me. I overheard the daughter complaining that she had to go to the
washroom, so I had turned around and told the mother that she could go ahead of
me in line. At first she kept saying no, and felt bad. However, I convinced her
that I was in no rush and that she could go ahead. She eventually went ahead
and was very thankful and appreciated my kind gesture.
An act of kindness
does not need to be about money or paying for things. Even though free things
are always great! People really appreciate random kind gestures such as letting
one go ahead of line, or holding the door open for someone. Those are effortless
kind gestures that you can practice all the time without having to think about
it.
Bob Loblaw lobs law bomb! That was sweet though.
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing how a kind gesture so small can make someone's day, or turn it around for them.
